Become a **maker of possible** with us. **Job Summary:** The Packaging Operator 2 is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of packaging equipment and processes, ensuring the timely and quality packaging of medical devices and supplies according to established procedures and regulatory guidelines. **Job Responsibilities:** + Operate and monitor a variety of packaging machinery, including but not limited to, cartoners, labelers, sealers, and case packers, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). + Perform routine equipment adjustments, minor troubleshooting, and changeovers to accommodate different product specifications. + Conduct in-process quality checks and inspections of packaged products to ensure compliance with quality standards, including visual inspection, weight checks, and label verification. + Document all production activities, including batch records, quality checks, and equipment downtime, accurately and in a timely manner. + Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety protocols. + Replenish packaging materials, such as cartons, labels, and inserts, as needed during production runs. + Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor or team leader. + Collaborate with team members to optimize packaging line efficiency and address production challenges. + Participate in training programs and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance skills and contribute to operational excellence. + Adhere to all Becton, Dickinson and Company policies and procedures, including safety, quality, and environmental regulations. **Job Qualifications:** + High school diploma or equivalent required. + Minimum of 2 years of experience operating packaging machinery in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry. + Proven ability to read and interpret detailed instructions, technical manuals, and batch records. + Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. + Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and minor equipment adjustments. + Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods. + Ability to lift and move materials up to 30 pounds occasionally. + Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. + Good communication skills, both written and verbal. + Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety regulations is highly desirable. + Basic computer skills for data entry and accessing electronic documentation.
