JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Universities of Wisconsin-Systems Administration
seeks a contractor to help augment our Systems and Engineering team that oversees our IT infrastructure and server systems. The current team members are involved in a project to migrate servers, consolidating systems into new data centers. This position will work with the team, stakeholders, and clients migrating Windows and Linux machines and perform day-to-day systems administration work. \*\** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Proficiency in using VMware to manage Windows and Linux Servers. 1 yr. Building, configuring, and managing Windows and Linux servers in a complex environment with over 300 servers. 1 yr. Implementing and maintaining security and disaster recovery measures on Windows and Linux servers to safeguard data and applications. 1 yr. Answering support tickets, assisting users with issues related to Windows servers and applications. 1 yr. Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with users and stakeholders. 1 yr. NICE TO HAVE: Experience monitoring system performance and uptime. Familiarity with Active Directory, Intune, and/or M365 a plus. Knowledge of IAM systems and two factor authentication, in particular Okta, also preferred.
