Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS/CLS/MT) / Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Location: Salisbury, MD

Shift: Rotational

💰 Pay Range: $29.00 – $46.00/hr

🎉 Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000

🚚 Relocation Assistance: Up to $2,500

Job Summary:

Pride Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician to perform, evaluate, and interpret a variety of diagnostic lab tests. You’ll ensure accuracy, maintain lab instruments, validate new testing methods, and support the training and mentoring of staff and students — all while upholding the highest standards of lab safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and complex tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, urinalysis, and blood bank.
• Ensure accuracy and clinical relevance of test results; maintain quality control and instruments.
• Assist in developing and implementing new test procedures.
• Participate in lab education, competency assessments, and mentoring.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards (CLIA, CAP, JCAHO).
• Support workflow with administrative and technical duties.
• Work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and emergency coverage as needed.

Education & Certification:

• MLS: Bachelor's in medical laboratory science or related field
• MLT: Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
• Must hold or be eligible for ASCP/CLS/MLT certification (required within 6 months)
• Specialty certifications preferred (Blood Bank, Microbiology, Chemistry)

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Proficient with lab instruments, LIS/EHR systems, and quality control procedures
• Excellent attention to detail, teamwork, and communication
• Flexible and able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and emergency situations
