Job Title : Inpatient & Outpatient Medical Coder

Location : Bronx, NY

Duration : 3+ Months

Education : High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Shift Details : 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Specific Skills :

• Perform inpatient medical coding in an acute care hospital environment
• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS codes
• Collaborate with Clinical Documentation Specialists (CDS)
• Review medical records for coding accuracy and compliance
• Ensure adherence to payer and federal billing guidelines
• Utilize EPIC EMR and 3M encoder systems
• Support quality audits and productivity targets
• Assist with coder training and documentation improvement initiatives
• Active CCS Certification (Required)
• 3+ Years Inpatient Coding Experience
• Experience with EPIC EMR and 3M/HDS Encoder
• Prior collaboration with Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI/CDS) teams
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding guidelines

General Description:

• We are currently seeking Certified Inpatient Medical Coders (CCS) to support acute care hospital coding operations in Bronx, NY.

This position begins with 1–2 weeks of onsite training and then transitions into a remote work model once performance standards are met.
