Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC/R systems, mechanical knowledge, and experience in field service. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Troubleshoot HVAC issues using schematics and diagnostic tools to identify problems accurately.
Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment, including cleaning coils, changing filters, and checking refrigerant levels.
Conduct equipment repairs on refrigeration units, boilers, and other HVAC-related appliances as needed.
Collaborate with construction teams to assist in HVAC design and installation for new builds or renovations.
Utilize mechanical skills to perform welding tasks when necessary for equipment repairs.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding system performance and maintenance needs.
Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used during each job.

Requirements

Proven experience as a service technician in the HVAC industry or related fields such as appliance repair or property maintenance.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various tools including an ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics.
Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret schematics related to HVAC design and construction plans.
Experience in plumbing tasks related to HVAC installations is beneficial.
Valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
