Position Overview

Our client is seeking an AutoCAD Designer to join its growing team in Overland Park, KS. This role is ideal for candidates who have recently completed a CAD or drafting program and are eager to begin their career in telecommunications design. The selected candidate will support engineers and designers by creating plans, drawings, and minor design work for wireless cell sites using AutoCAD.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate drawings and plans using AutoCAD software
• Assist engineers and senior designers with wireless telecommunications site layouts
• Perform minor design tasks under supervision
• Utilize standard AutoCAD commands, shortcuts, and drafting techniques
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project accuracy and timely completion
• Maintain organized project files and documentation

Required Qualifications

• Foundational AutoCAD experience (coursework acceptable)
• Ability to draw standard shapes and use key AutoCAD commands
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and within a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in AutoCAD, Drafting, or Design
• Coursework from programs such as Longview, MCC, JCC, or similar institutions
• Exposure to telecommunications or engineering environments

Compensation:

$18.00/hr to $24.00/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
