Established Brand is seeking to hire an ASSISTANT Technical Designer who has experience in multi

categories from Denim and Wovens.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To assist & develop accurate product specifications within calendar

deadlines; including sample size measurements, full size grading and construction details.

• Log in, prepare, measures samples before fitting. Takes clear notes and photographs during fitting.
• Creates Excel fit sample status charts, sample specs chart, and organize digital pattern library.
• Work with Design Team to develop the initial tech packs and specs for each Collection.
• Review measurements and construction of all samples at the beginning of each season and review each style in conjunction with product and design teams through live model or mannequin fittings.
• Issue revised product specifications and fit correction comments after the review. This includes photo or sketch corrections or actual pattern corrections as necessary under the guidance of the Senior TD.
• Work with the Production Team in preparing/evaluating fit on model and communicating the necessary information to the overseas factories for future production.
• Complete knowledge of garment construction.
• Good eye and excellent attention to detail.
• Must be able to identify problems as well as create a solution to correct the issue.
• Experienced with Plus and missy sizing.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

• 3 years’ experience as assistant technical designer required. Experience in Denims, Wovens and Knits in the Missy and Plus realm a plus.
• Basic Patternmaking Knowledge and eager to learn pattern corrections.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Team Player mentality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent computer skills in: MS Office programs, Excel, Paint. Centric &/or Web PDM knowledge a plus.
